| Résumé | According to M. J. Price in his volume “The Coinage in the Name of Alexander the Great and Philip Arrhidaeus: A British Museum Catalogue” published in Paris in 1991, gold distaters with Alexander’s types were rare. Regarding these coins, H. A. Troxell later devoted one chapter of her book on Macedonian coinage with Alexander’s types. Since the publication of this book in 1997, new data have emerged. This paper examines the new questions about the issue and circulation of these unusual and attractive coins. M. J. Price’ın 1991 yılında Par is’te yayımlanan “The Coinage in the Name of Alexander the Great and Philip Arrhidaeus: A British Museum Catalogue” adlı eserine göre İskender tipli altın distaterler nadirdi. Bu sikkelerle ilgili olarak daha sonra H. A. Troxell, Makedonya sikkeleri üzerindeki kitabında bir bölüm kaleme aldı. 1997 yılında yayımlanan bu kitaptan sonra yeni veriler ortaya çıktı. Bu bildiride söz konusu sıradışı ve cazip sikkelerin basımı ve dolaşımı üzerine yeni sorular irdelenmektedir. |
